After the pellet burner installation, always make sure that the igniter and back end of the burning chamber are on a same level. Make sure that top of the igniter is not pushed too far inside the socket. If you see igniter head on the pellet burning area you may damage igniter. Make sure it is exactly as it should be inside the socket. Igniter can not have direct contact with pellets and flame, otherwise it will break soon.
Changing the igniter
In order to change igniter, you need a screwdriver first. Unscrew old igniter wires.
- Make sure that pellet burner has cooled down and disconnected from 230V.
- Remove pellet burner by unscrewing 4 bolts (2 on each side).
- Remove igniter wires from the panel.
- Unscrew bolt that is holding igniter on fixed position.
- Open boiler door so you could reach access burner grate.
- Push igniter through its socket and take it off from burning grate side.
- Roll together wires of new igniter and put them through the igniter hole from burning grate side.
- Push igniter inside its socket, so that the top of igniter would be even with the back side of the burning area. If the top is out and it has direct connection with pellets, it will be broken soon.
- Fix it by using the screws.
- Connect all the wires to the panel. Doesn't matter which way you will connect wires, it will work both ways.
